The Introduction of The YorkiPoo

Yorkshire Terriers and Poodle breeding have become extremely popular within the last few
decades. They produce a new breed of dog, referred to as the Yorki-poo. Yorkipoos are usually considered to be toy-sized dogs. They receive this attribute from both parents. Yorkipoos are great indoor dogs, because they have little to no shedding. This makes them the perfect dog for families or individuals who have allergies. Yorkipoos are usually 7 to 12 inches in height and weighing only 4 to 15 pounds.

Since the breeding of the Yorkshire Terrier and the Poodle has only recently become popular, many of these dogs are considered first generations. Their new found popularity has not helped them receive a classification of being an actual breed by the Kennel Clubs. Yorkipoos are often described as being stubborn, but laid back and easy to get along with. This makes them great pets for children. When breeding two different types of dogs, you are not guaranteed that they will turn out exactly as the breeder or buyer would like them to. Yorkipoos can exhibit any
number of patterns of behavior or body style that either one of the parents house.

To truly understand the vast possibilities of what a Yorkipoo could look like, you must know what each parent looks like and acts like. Yorkshire Terriors are relatively small in size, too. They are less an a foot and a half tall and weigh less than 10 to 15 pounds. They are energetic, loyal and clever. Yorkies are darkly colored close to the skin, but their fur turns a lighter tan the longer that it is. They have a black nose and regular sized teeth. Yorkies can be rather adventurous and get into trouble.

They need constant attention and can be quite demanding. These dogs are also good in an apartment setting.
Poodles range in size depending in whether they are toy, miniature or standard poodles. They vary in color from black, white, brown, grey or red. Poodles are considered one of the most intelligent dog breeds. Their coats are dense and also do not shed. Poodles are often used as show dogs.

Breeding dogs can be a rather tricky business when any of these characteristics could possibly be the result, instead of the desired affects. Breeding is not only done to receive these desired affects, but also can be done for prosperity. Mating takes time to find the best selection of the two dog breeds. It can take several litters to finally reach the style of animals that the buyer was wanting. Picking the wrong dogs can result in having ill health or not surviving. This is often the situation if the pure bred dogs have been inbred too much.

Yorkipoos are beautiful dogs that can be great for the right owners. They are small and light weight. They can be great companions for your younger children
